Lt Donald McKibben
Donald "Mac" McKibben lounges on the cowl of his P-51B "Miss Lace" for a PR shot taken in April or May of 1944. The Dragon Lady artwork and Miss Lace nose art were at the direction of McKibben. The art is on the crew chief's side as that is the side that faced the perimeter track when the plane was parked. There was no artwork on the pilot's side. Aircraft was PZ-Y, serial number 42-106483, and was lost in May of 1944 when Frank Cutler overran an Me-109 and was KIA.
